2. The short version

This website sets no cookies, does not measure reach and loads nothing from third party servers. Fonts, images and scripts are served from my own server. Personal data is only processed when you visit the site (server logs) or write to me.

3. Visiting the website and server logs

When you open a page, my web server processes the technical information your browser sends: IP address, time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page and browser identifier.

• Purpose: delivering the pages, fixing faults and protecting against attacks.
• Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure operation of the website.
• Retention: according to the default settings of my hosting provider. I only analyse the logs when there is a specific reason and never combine them with other data.

The website is operated by a hosting provider in Germany, which processes the data on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

4. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why there is no consent banner.

5. Contact by email or phone

If you write to me or call me, I process your details (such as name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) to respond to your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract or its preparation is concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR with the interest of answering enquiries. I delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Links to other services

This site links to LinkedIn and GitHub. Only when you follow such a link do you leave this website; from then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. No data is transferred to these services beforehand.

7. Encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted using TLS. You can recognise this by “https://” in the address bar and the lock icon in your browser.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). A message to the email address above is sufficient.

Right to object: Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). I will then no longer process the data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the defence of legal claims.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

App: PoseShot

Supplementary privacy policy for the PoseShot app.

Our app analyzes facial landmarks and real time video data exclusively from the device’s front or back camera. This data is used to detect specific facial movements, such as mouth opening, to enhance user interaction within the app. The facial data is processed locally on your device to determine when to initiate actions like photo capture. This processing ensures that your facial information remains private and is not utilized for any other purposes. We do not share, sell, or disclose your facial data to any third parties. All processing is done locally, and no facial information is transmitted outside your device. Facial data is retained only during active use of the app. Once the app is closed or the session ends, all facial data is permanently deleted from the device’s memory.

Face data is not retained beyond its immediate use for detecting facial gestures essential for the app’s functionality. We store face data solely to facilitate features such as hands free photo capturing, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. The data is stored only for the duration necessary to perform these functions and is automatically deleted once the session concludes. It is not appropriate or permissible to store face data indefinitely, and we adhere strictly to this principle to protect user privacy.

Our commitment to privacy means that we do not share face data with any third parties. Since no third parties have access to your face data, there are no external entities that store or process this information. All facial data handling remains confined within the user’s device, ensuring that your sensitive information remains secure and private at all times.
